Handwriting Fonts

Lately I've been trying to make my blog look a bit more polished through the use of handwriting fonts.  (Now that I read that sentence, it seems a bit contradictory but whatever!)  I think they add a certain je ne sais quoi & are a welcome break from the Times New Romans of the computer world.  My main source for handwriting fonts is a blog called www.kevinandamanda.com where author has posted a series of fonts, dubbed "Fonts for Peas" - the whole series is available for free.  I just downloaded the font, "Pea Double n Jenn" for use on my blog.

I used the font, "Pea Mee Mee" for my blogger header and the "Drop Me A Note" icon.

You can also download doodle fonts.

If you want to embed these fonts on your site, the author of the blog has a tutorial on how to do it.  I gave it a try, but there were so many steps that I quickly lost interest and gave up.  I opted instead to go the easy route and use the Google Fonts Directory.  They only have around 20 fonts available right now but I've noticed the directory has been growing quickly since its inception.  I chose "Reenie Beanie" as the font for my titles.  It took me a while to figure out where to embed the code but I finally figured it out and I think it looks pretty cool.
