During the months leading up to the wedding, I must have made three or four frantic visits to my local J.Crew. I was in search of a cashmere cardigan to wear during the reception, lest I catch a chill. Much to my dismay, the cashmere cardigan I tried on at J.Crew just wasn't fitted enough and made me look a tad frumpy. However, I did manage to find another non-cashmere cardigan at the store which I wore during the reception. It was a cropped, merino wool sweater with a chiffon trim. It's no longer on the J.Crew site so I can't share a picture. You'll just have to take my word for it!
Speaking of J.Crew items worn during my special day, I wore the "Crystal Bib" necklace. Alas, the necklace is no longer on the website but I managed to scoop it up the day it went on sale online. Lucky me!
It arrived on a leather-esque cord, which to me was a bit too utilitarian for a wedding. So, I detached the cord, attached new jump rings, and added long lengths of satin, ivory ribbon to replace the cord. Here's how it looked (sorry but this is the only picture I have of it so far)
